Ami has been actively involved in the field of early childhood for over 20 years. She earned her BA in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Oregon University and has extensive continuing education in instructional design, equity and inclusion, and child development. Ami is an Oregon Registry Master Trainer and enjoys developing and delivering training sessions around Oregon. With a professional background including training & development management, family child care program administration, child care resource & referral, statewide quality initiatives, and child welfare, Ami has a unique understanding of early learning in Oregon and brings that expertise to her support of early childhood professionals. She is currently a certified CLASS Infant, Toddler, and Pre-K observer, an Environment Rating Scales anchor assessor (ECERS-3, ITERS-3, and FCCERS-3) and works as a Training & Development Specialist for ODHS. Her training style is energetic, engaging, and research-based.
